My name is Zoe and I’m a semi-recent college grad. I was a student athlete and played division I softball at Northern Illinois University. While in college, I majored in Communications. I truly didn’t know what I wanted to do back then but liked the general idea of it. While in college I took an Interactive Media course and became instantly intrigued in web/design. I graduated and started working for Apple retail. I loved being around technology but wanted to pursue my degree. I jumped around from being a commercial photographer to a marketing and digital media coordinator. While at the latter, I wasn’t happy with where I was at in my career. I started debating going to get my masters but it just didn't feel right to go back to school when I had a solid base of skills. I happened to stumble upon Design Nation, based right in my hometown of Chicago. Design Nation is a 10 week program designed to accelerate designers to their new careers. Students are required to put in 60+ hours a week. I am highly interested in this program because it would help fine tune and teach me new skills that will accelerate my career. My only problem is that I work full-time and would need to leave my job in order to participate in this course! The tuition for design nation is 2,000$ and it is roughly two in a half months long. I am asking you to help fund my tuition and half of my living expenses to help me reach my dreams.
Check out Design Nation if you want to find out more about the AMAZING program!
