Academic S.T.E.M TOUR

My name is Dante Moodley. Has one on the top leaners in my grade I have been chosen to attend the 3rd Annual 2020 American Odyssey STEM tour of USA.I am so excited to be travelling with top science, technology, engineering and mathematics high school learners from other South African Schools to see the amazing sights that this tour has to offer. I know that I am going to learn so much during this tour.

The Annual STEM tour is travelling to New York City and Washington D.C. This prestigious tour will bring together the best future innovators and industry leaders as we will be visiting some of the top universities and STEM institutions in America.

During the course of this tour, some of the places we will be visiting are Princeton and Columbia Universities, the International Museum of surgical science, 3D Printer Experience - where we will explore the advent of 3D printing and the real - world applications of this exciting technology, participate in activities at the Rose Centre for Earth and Space which is one of the World's most foremost collections on biological and human history. We will be visiting the Marine Science Centre for a scheduled marine biology session looking at the science behind and technology applied to marine conservation. One of the highlight of this tour will be a full - day guided excursion to the University of Chicago. Here we will participate in a STEM Educational session following advanced programmes covering all of the fields of technology, mathematics, science and engineering. We will also be visiting MIT Campus and museum. MIT campus is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Another highlight of the tour will be a private STEM lecture from one of MIT's brilliant professors.

In order for me to attend this prestigious tour, I need to have a sufficient amount of funds. My goal is to raise between R40000-R45000.
