Last year in November I went to Japan for an exchange program. The program invited Muslims from various countries to have peaceful cultural and intellectual dialogues to create better understandings between Islam and Japan.
In consequence therewith, I wrote a paper on how to further progress win this noble effort. My abstract is accepted by the International Congress for Islamic Education. And I am invited to present my paper entitled "Philosophical Studies of Islam in Japan: Relevance, Prospects, and a Preliminary Conceptual Strategy" in Istanbul this April.
Basically, I am trying to propose a strategy by which proper Islamic Studies can be established in Japan, for the current Islamic Studies (established by Prof Yuzo Itagaki) there often fall under the faculty of Political Science. This is in the hope of creating better means of engagements and dialogues between civilizations.
