Aby’s college tuition

Hi, I am Aby, an international student from Colombia. I am studying Fashion Design in the College of DuPage and I love it!! Since I was little my parents encouraged me to have faith, dream bigger and fight for my dreams, and I always wanted to make a difference in the world and help other people through my career. Studying in the United States has been a great, exciting, challenging and hard experience. In the time that I've been here I have learned so much about other cultures and perspectives, also I have challenged myself to be out of my comfort zone more times that I can remember. I have sacrificed many things too: my family, my financial stability, the familiarity of home, hours of sleep, my mom's food (I miss it so much right now) among other things in order to get to where I am now.

But currently I need help, I don't have a job in the summer (I have a job on campus during the school year that helps me cover some other expenses) and I need to pay for the upcoming semester, I don't have a financial support right now. I need to pay an estimate of about $5000 for the tuition, fees and other college related costs. The classes start on August 20th, and I currently have just a little part that would help me cover the amount of the international student insurance that I have to pay every semester. That's why I need your help.

I believe my story can be powerful, but I can't do it alone. I need help, I need people that believe that dreams do come true if you are brave, but also vulnerable enough to reach out to others when you need it.
