Abused Jobless Wife Needs Help For Her Child Custody

Hi, my name is Amirul Hafizin Bin Othman. I am currently practicing as a Syarie Lawyer focusing in Family Matters for Muslim in Federal Territory of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).

Not long ago, I received a call from a housewife name Mrs. Yang. She is a Taiwanese married with a Malaysian. Their marriage is around 2-4 years if I'm not mistaken. They have one child right now. She wanted to get divorce with her husband because she has been abused hardly not just physically but also mentally.

But she is jobless and cannot get any help from Legal Aid (because she isn't a Malaysian) and couldn't afford to pay a private lawyer. I did have call several NGO to help her and she's currently staying far from her husband thanks to their help.

But, she is also worried if they get divorce she cannot have the right to bring her child with her to her country because the child is Malaysian and she isn't. By law it's impossible for her to fight for her child custody.

Sadly, by the time I wrote this, she's pregnant again and now shed got two children to worry about.

So, right now I'm willing to help her fight for her child custody and also to fund her children's needs until all of the legal proceedings is over.

Beside this cases I also received a lot of call for help in other abuse housewife cases, so that if this campaign were success, I will register a foundation under the name of "Yang's Foundation" to helps other abused housewife.
