Hi I am travelling to Cambodia for a few weeks at the end of this year. While researching for my trip I realised how much Cambodia is hit by poverty (I will spare you their tragic history). 50% of the population is under 25 years old with extremely poor education system and children sex trafficking is on the increase.  I have not yet set foot in the country, that I am already compelled to help in some way. So I have decided to raise some money to directly help some projects and I will also be doing some volunteering.

To follow my adventure and get some updates please like my facebook page

If you can spare £1 your help will be truly and greatefully appreciated.

Your Donation will contribute directly into helping 3 projects I have selected. The money will not be given directly to the organisations, but I will personnaly buy IN KIND donations in Cambodia like toiletteries, food, clothe, books. So rest assure your money will not be wasted on some administration fee, or end up in someone pocket.

I am in contact with 2 organisations and I have establish what they need and have arrange to visit the projects and personally deliver the in kind donations that I will buy in Cambodia.

PROJECT 1 - Kmer Hands Resort and Art trainning centre in Kep (check on facebook) or  www.keylightlearning.dreamhosters.com   They run a guest house (where I will be staying) and the money raised has helped creating a local school, which provide vocational training for disandvantaged  kids 15 years old and over, to help them gain job skills and find work locally so they can continue to live with their family.

I have already contacted Kris and he has kindly asked for pens, notebooks and folders for the students.

PROJECT 2 & 3 - Kaliyan Mith ("Good friends" in Cambodian) Friends- international in Phnom Pehn and Siem Reap

www.friends-international.org   They started their work by helping street children, now their work is much wider and includes street living/working children, drug using children and youth, victims of multiple form of abuse, children affected by HIV/AIDS.

I have been in contact with Kahna and they would very much appreciate anything which is usable for children, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, clothes, shoes and other hygiene products.

MY OWN CONTRIBUTION In addition to giving some money, buying the donations and visiting the project I am also in contact with two further organisation, where I am discussing how I could personnally help, using my skills as a therapist.   I will keep you updated on these via my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/abusedanddisadvantagedchildrenincambodia

A HUGE THANK YOU

Feel free to share.
