Abseil for House of Grace Romania 2015

Hi my name is Linda, I am 45 and live in the North East of Scotland in a small town called Forfar. I am a proud mother of 3 and a new Granny. This year I am priviledged to be part of a team going out to Romania as a volunteer, working at Casa Harului [House of Grace] where I and many other volunteers will help provide respite care and a loving environment for children living in poverty and people of all ages who are affected by disability. The camp offers a wide range of activities and support networks for families, adults and children alike. Casa Harului was set up in 1992 by Beniamin and Maria Medrea, and has been able to grow soley through funding from partnerships home and abroad, bringing teams who sponsor the weeks of camp between April and September each year. The camp which began as tents on a hillside, has grown and developed to include custom built, accessible chalets and community spaces nestled in the idyllic scenery of the Carpathian Mountains. On the 6th of June this year I will be taking part in an abseil off the Dundee University Tower [130ft] in a bid to help raise funds for this year's camp. I depart at the end of July 2015, all donations are warmly recieved and will have a great impact on the lives of many in Romania. Thank you in advance xx
