Abegail’s Request for Her Mother’s Medical Needs

The message below is from Abegail, our sister of the Ligaya Ng Painginoon community. This initiative is being done by her Action Group members who stand by her in one of the biggest challenges she is facing. We are here to let her know she is not alone and we are knocking on your hearts to help us help her. There is no amount so little or so big, and any amount is a step towards reaching our goal.

In this time of the pandemic, times are tough but we are especially grateful for any potential support you may extend to Abegail and her mom.

This fundraising is for our mother Teresita Comandao, who is suffering from different ailments: osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, and kidney stones. Her urgent concern is her kidney stones. Last August 3^rd, she urinated with fresh blood and after her lab results came out; the doctor diagnosed that there is a kidney stone that blocks her ureter, a small tube that carries urine from the renal pelvis to the urinary bladder. Her left kidney is inflamed because of this stone. On top of that she has 2 big kidney stones in her right kidney and smaller ones in her left kidney. To date, there is still blood in her urine and she needs the medical procedure to remove the kidney stones specially the one blocking her ureter.

As our mother Teresita is already a senior citizen, she needs more lab works and a cardiologist’s clearance before she can have the procedure. We finished some of her lab works and x-ray/ultrasound/CT scan, but we still need more lab works for her cardiologist’s clearance before she undergoes the medical procedure to remove the kidney stones. Lab works and the medical procedure costs roughly Php 200k – Php 250k.
