Each year, The AB540 Project and IDEAS at UCLA host the Annual Immigrant Youth Empowerment Conference (IYEC). Through the conference we aim to raise awareness about the various pertinent and urgent issues that impact the undocumented community. This conference aims to educate, empower and provide attendees with a platform to understand and navigate legislation and resources. There is much work to be done, but even the smallest efforts contribute to the larger movement.
Each year during the conference we award a few students who attend the conference with scholarships. Unfortunately, this year we have been experiencing significant reductions in funding. Due to the prevailing situation with funding, we are contacting our community partners and supporters of the undocumented community, to help us provide a couple of students with scholarships to help them pursue higher education. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
