A year of intensive rehabilitation for Amelka to learn to speak and control her body

The ultrasound examination did not show that Amelka would be born sick. It was only after the delivery that I received information that my daughter was born with Down's syndrome. The first moments that I spent with Amelka, instead of carefree joy, were marked with tears and paralyzing fear. I know you can live with this disease. However, we are facing long-term work for Amelka's life and health. Amelka was born in January 2021. Trisomy 21 of the chromosome, heart defect, muscle dysfunction. The problems seemed to be endless.

The bad news was flowing in an avalanche ... And I looked at my little daughter and prayed for her to cope. That she would bear the weight that rested on her shoulders. Amelka needs to be undergoing rehabilitation all the time, and I can't stand with my arms folded. I have to do everything I can to help her.
