A year in Italy

My bio: I'm 20 years old and an aspiring chef. I will be graduating from Gulf Coast State College this May with and A.A.S. degree in Culinary Management. I have a deep passion for food and go to work daily excited, knowing that this is my calling. I have been working at Stinky's Fish Camp for 2 years now and will be leaving Stinky's in August to begin my culinary journey.

My Plan: My plan is to travel abroad to Florence, Italy for 10 months from August, 2013-June, 2014. In this time in Florence I will be attending in a Culture and Gastonomy School where i will broaden my knowledge of foreign culture as well as expand my culinary knowedge and expertise through training over the course of my stay. After Italy I plan to take my new skills, knowedge, and ability to New York City and begin working there.

My Goal: My goal is to raise 3000 dollars to help me pay for an apartment while in Florence, as well as the School program I am enrolled in and travel around the country throughout my free time there. This will help me because I will not have a true source of income while there and this is a very exensive venture.
