For the first time, Rotaract in Cyprus, is organizing an international community-service conference, named Rotaract European Meeting (REM) which will bring together around 500 Rotaractors and Rotarians from over 50 countries in effort to raise funds to support the Karaiskakio Foundation as well as ensuring that our visitors embrace our hospitality and beauty of this island.
The funds raised out of REM will be distributed into:
1. purchasing new and improved pieces of equipment and expanding the facilities of the Karaiskakio Foundation;
2. increasing the donor pool in the Bone Marrow Registry by educating and making our participants as well as local Rotaractors and Rotarians aware of leukemia and Karaiskakio Foundation's role;
3. organizing community awareness campaigns and small projects such as communicating/visiting the patients to show them that we are fight for and with them against this illness.

Karaiskakio Foundation
The Karaiskakio Foundation is an NGO which established its importance in the humanitarian and scientific fields by becoming the biggest bone marrow registry per capita internationally. This was initially achieved with the help of the Ministry of Health, the Cypriot Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians and ten Rotary Associations.
Over the years, with the support of individual sponsors, donors and volunteers continues this tremendous work to save lives and today has set a more dynamic vision; that “for a world without leukemia”.
Rotaract
In continuance of our mother clubs - Rotary clubs - actions many years ago, Rotaractors in Cyprus has decided to support Karaiskakio Foundation through this big project.
The goal of our project is to bring solidarity in many levels. Our divided island is becoming one community to stand by its people in need. By you contributing into this projects, your funds will make a real and positive difference to our future, to the patients, the volunteers, the participants and in general to the society!

It is amazing for all Cypriot Rotaractors to have the opportunity to host REM for the very first time and show the beauties of the island while supporting a great cause that will save many lives.
