I know this might bring up a lot of opinions and what not, but there are many of us that are fortunate unlike others. I live in Michigan. I have never traveled much to the cities that have more poverty. I've thought about this idea I have about renting or buying a house and actually giving it to the needy. There are so many children without a shelter and someone to provide them with care and love. I'd like to buy a house for them so they can live there. I know it sounds crazy, but these kids can grow under a roof, and also adults that live on the street right now. I could set boundaries and all of that so each of them are protected. It would be like a house for the needy and each of them would have a separate chore or job. I've met some of the homeless people already and they seem like such down to earth people. They can become a family. Something they never had before growing up on these streets. And we all together can help make this happen. I will put in $5000 into this house of my own and I'm hoping to leave the rest up to you guys. I wouldn't ask but Im only in my second year of medical school and I don't have that much money to give. Any extra money would be going towards furniture, food, clothing. Lets help these people, and these young children so they can one day grow into amazing and educated adults. Any amount, big or little, would help and be appreciated. This would mean so much to these people.
