A Stable Home Near Schools

     I am a Certified teacher and a single mother of 4.  My youngest son is Autistic, and my oldest daughter is Asthmatic with severe allergies.  We have lived in several states, but my children have done better medically in warmer climates.  I do not receive any assistance of any kind.  I have not received child support for my kids in more than 2 years.  My x-husband has re-married.  We have been homeless off and on for many years.  Living in hotels and motels was not an option because the local schools would only enroll my children if I had a lease agreement with them listed on it.  It has been really hard for me to maintain paying high rents for 3 bedroom apartments in safe neighborhoods.   By law apartment complexes will not rent anything less than a 3 bedroom to me due to the number of children I have.  Renting apartments has cost me no less than $1500 monthly, which is more than half of my monthly income.        

       We have made progress, my youngest two kids are in high school now, and  My twins have each graduated with a 2-year Associates Degree , but once they transferred to a 4 year university, the high cost of dorm expenses forced them to move back in with me.  I am in desperate need of a home that is  walking distance to a university because I do not own a car.  The expenses of a car would be more than I can afford right now.       I want to own a home without a mortgage, so that I can afford all of the taxes, home owners association fees, bills, and still afford normal household expenses such as medical, food, etc. on my income.  I am very big on Education, and my goal is to make sure all 4 of my children graduate college with 4 year degrees so that they can be productive members of society.  Due to my income and past debts, I have been unable to qualify for bank loans for home ownership of any kind including low income home programs.  I have never been able to save enough money to buy a home out right myself due to my children's many ongoing needs.  We have never lived in one location for more than 3 years at one time.     I am requesting the money in order to purchase a home near a university and medical services so that I can finally have a stable home, where I can help my children complete their educational studies and become self-sufficient.  Thank you for any and all assistance you can offer to my cause.
