A SORROWFUL PLEA FOR HELP FOR 17 CATS IN DISTRESS

Update posted by Julia Stewart On Jan 25, 2019

Heartfelt thanks to all supporters. With your help, all 17 orphaned cats from Karnobat are now safe in new, loving, foster homes.

Six of them have already settled. The rest are still recovering from their 2-months ordeal in Svetla's house, where they lived in constant fear, without any heating (the relatives cut of the electricity, despite that we paid the bills) and without their loving mum. We worked very hard to get them out of there as fast as possible. Sadly, it wasn't fast enough. The cats are traumatized and it will take us a while to rehabilitate and re-socialize them.

We attach a photo collage of the bravest four: Richie, Lizzy, Shona & Titi.

We will upload more photos onto the "Updates" section of our new fundraiser: https://goget.fund/2sMjugl

We completed successfully the dramatic rescue of the 17 orphaned cats from Karnobat. Thankfully, we managed to find two new foster homes for nine of the kitties and literally squeezed the rest (eight cats) in an existing foster home in Varna region.

Here is a photo of the second group of 8 cats, which we transported to a foster home in Varna region on 9 January, 2019. Those are: Dolly & Murry, Dotty & Sharry, Tommy junior & Malcho, Jewel, Dotty & Sharry and Reni.

We are about to conclude the rescue of the 17 orphaned cats from Karnobat, BG, who's foster mum died unexpectedly on 14.11. 2018. To date we have rescued and transported to new foster homes 9 of them. please, see our FB post: TONIGHT WE HAVE REASON TO SMILE!

It's early days, but we have good news - Sivie & Mimi had their first cuddles and play with their new foster angels. Yesterday, sweet Richie decided to bond with his new foster dad and jumped on the couch next to him. Lizzy followed suite shortly. The rest still prefer to hide most of the time, but they clearly feel safe and are more relaxed. We will post photos in a week.

We are preparing the second group of 8 kitties for transport. So far we managed to trap 6 of them and will try for a few more days to try trap the rest.

We still need your support. Our current fundraiser is about to expire and we are only half way to our financial goal. We struggle! This rescue is very difficult and very expensive. Still, we believe that the cats are worth it.
Please, donate.

Thank you!
