A Single Mom Fighting Cancer

About a year ago just a few months after giving birth to her daughter (NK), Nhesalie(Nez) Reyes, 29, was given the news that no mother ever wants to hear. Nez was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer and currently is in stage 4. She has been fighting this disease for almost 2 years while trying several clinical trials and approved chemotherapy drugs. Although they have worked for a short period of time, she is now at the point where she needs to try a new clinical trial. As of January 2019, Nez needs a procedure were they put a Peg Feeding tube in her stomach because she is having a hard time swallowing. Her family continues to run more tests, working with doctors in the Philippines.

Nez lives in the small town of Hagonoy, Bulacan. In the Philippines health insurance is not common and medical resources are very minimal. All of Nez treatment will require extensive financial undertaking which neither she nor her family are in a suitable position to support.We request, on Nez's behalf, any contribution, big or small, to help her completely heal. Please help give her the chance to live a longer life and be there to raise her own daughter.

Nez is a fighter and continues to celebrate life with her friends and family. She intends to beat the odds so she can take her daughter to her first day of school and to be able to witness her daughter grow up as a beautiful young lady. We created this fund to help her and her family with anticipated medical bills and other expenses they may need to navigate through this difficult time.The money acquired through this fundraising will be used for her medical expenses,pending surgeries, rehabilitation and support of family.

As a mother, it breaks my heart knowing what my friend Nez will have to go through.
