A simple dream

As a beautiful mind once said 'I have a dream....'

Its nothing as lofty or world inspiring as his, but its just as important to me.

Its simple, all I want in life is to own my own home!

What I am hoping for.....

I dont have a grand story designed to inspire pity for my situation. I am not expectant of something for nothing, im not even asking for enough to buy outright.  All I am asking is help towards raising the deposit I need to buy my own place.

The average cost of a house/flat in my area is around £100,000.

This means I need a deposit ofat least £5,000. This is where I hope you come in.

About me.....

Since I left University 11 years ago I have worked full time and hard.  Unfortunately due to renting for years at vastly overinflated costs it is hard to save a significant amount.  I have only managed to save £1000 so far.

I am single, I dont go out alot (once a month if that), I dont gamble, I have no loans/credit cards (and while that is an option, because I dont have any, they are ironically almost impossible to get!), I dont lie cheat or steal.  Genealy im the nice guy that keeps his head down and works hard, even though it isnt much appreciated.

The plan.....

There are government schemes available to help boost the initial deposit which would mean I can afford this, unfortunately my wage is nowhere near enough to secure an £80,000 mortgage alone!

The mortgage would cost around £400 a month.  Just now I pay £725 a month on rent.  Honestly, the maths does the work itself.

The dream.....

To be able to know that I dont have to worry about the landlord ripping me off, or (as is the case with the plae I am in now) selling up.  To be able to decorate to my taste rather than exist in generic beige decor. To have my own furniture suited to me and my comfort instead of small pokey well used things.

To know I will never be forced to move again, this is my dream.
