Campaign Story
My name is Gemma I'm 30 years old with no prospect or opportunity to progress myself, all that I have is a dream to teach! I grew up surrounded by drugs and police raids from the age of 8. I was thrown out of my home at the age of 15 by a person that abused me sexually. I never finished school due to these pressures at home. As I have matured into a woman this has been a huge factor in my life and set me back from achieving my dream. In my adult life I now suffer from anxiety and anarexia. When I teach all these negative feelings disappear. The only way I can teach now is to teach abroad, teaching English as a foreign language. I would love to raise some money so I can go away from my family and childhood troubles and start fresh. Learning firstly a tefl course whilst gaining classroom experience at the same time. The money will enable me to purchase my course and rent an apartment until I qualify and can earn money to support myself. Please help me achieve my dream. It's simple but will transform my life completely, this way my 30s can be a positive experience unlike my crazy messed up childhood.
