A Reader Is A Leader

A Reader, Is A Leader is a project aimed at encouraging school children between the ages of 3 – 16 years to cultivate the habit of reading. These young school children, mostly in the rural areas of the KEEA Municipality of the Central Region, Ghana don’t have access to libraries in their communities. We want to get them books to read. Funds received will be used to get book donations form organizations who give out free books but require the payment of shipment cost. Books received will be donated to the schools in these communities. Volunteers of Bridge Development Network will collaborate with the local assembly person in the communities. School children will be encouraged to at least read two books in a week.   It is expected that, the school children will be able to build a strong vocabulary bank, improve their reading, improve their diction, cultivate the habit of reading, and acquire more knowledge from reading, which will help transform them into great future leaders.
