Campaign Story
Ferdi came into my life a little over a year ago. The calf had just fractured a front leg and its owner decided to sacrifice it to avoid the cost of an uncertain recovery. When I found out, I decided to buy it and take it home. After several attempts to save his leg, three months after the fracture the veterinarian decided that the best thing to do was to amputate it, as the bone - completely chipped - threw splinters through the skin. About two months after his amputation, I decided that Ferdi would live in a didactic farm, where he would have large areas to graze and enjoy the company of other farm animals. As he gained weight, the front leg began to swell and generate pain. As the prosthesis must be made of carbon fiber to support the weight, the cost is very high; for that reason, it was not taken care of at the time, but the bull can not wait any longer or runs the risk of a complete atrophy in his front leg. That is why I recur to the generosity and kindness of people who consider this cause important.
