Share A Peace of Happiness

I am Bren Cabatingan, a young leader of Youth for Peace Movement Comval, a peace-advocate organization in a conflict-affected province called Compostela Valley in the Philippines.

Being a volunteer, I and my team have been visiting many far-flung communities in our province to empower the youth and help attain peace. Visiting these areas allowed us to see how conflict affects the life and education of children.

At a very young age, some of them join rebel groups because of poverty and hopelessness. Their long distance from the mainstream communities also added hardship to continue their studies because their parents cannot afford to buy sufficient school materials.

Some of them do not even know what an apple tastes like. They only know what it looks like because it is the commonly used fruit in the alphabet.

Through your support, we will be able to share happiness to these children to help them finish their studies and empower them so we could finally attain peace.
