A Passion for Food

Food is our Passion and Passion is what keep us alive.

My son David is a Pastry chef and me I am a mom trying to make her only child’s dream come true. (OK - he did have another dream of being a world-famous musician - LOL)

We have been offered the opportunity to open our own restaurant in the lovely coastal town of Pennington, South Africa. It will be called RIBBONWOOD Restaurant and Pub, and what makes us different?

WE WILL CREATE AN INCLUSIVSPACE WHERE GOOD FOOD IS THE FOCUS. A SPACE WHERE DISCRIMINATION and JUDGEMENT are not welcome as guests 💚

1) We will focus 30% of our efforts and dishes on the VEGAN market.

2) We will have a special DOG menu, even with VEGAN options.

3) We will be open 7 days a week for 12 months - because we believe in giving 100%

4) We will register with the local Conservation effort and use recycled and up cycled material in the restaurant

5) We know we can make it a big success.

Funds will be used to cover our fist month's overheads, stock supplies and wages for 8 staff. I am waiting for the sale of my house to go through and it is taking soooooo long and our launch event is 2 July🫣🫣
