Hello!

I'm Juan Carlos Ojano from the Philippines. I'm 22 years of age and I am a freelance editor/filmmaker.

I just started my figure skating lessons last April 10. I am so in love with figure skating, I can't even begin to explain how much it fills my heart every time I go to practice. I practice 7-9 hours a day and I travel two hours just so I could practice in the nearest skating rink.

I actually finished already the Pre-Alpha level. I'd love to proceed to the next levels, but my coach advised me that I get my own pair of skates for practice (I've been using rental skates for training). I'm having several blisters because of that, but I don't mind. I love skating.

With my lack of financial means to buy my own skates as well as to enroll in higher classes, it breaks my heart because I really believe I've found figure skating to be something I'm really good at.

In this regard, I was hoping if you would be willing to help me out in getting my own pair of skates so I could continue training. It would mean a lot to me if I could have my own skates. I hope to be able to perform on ice one day.

The cost of a pair of figure skates in the Philippines is 13000 pesos. Additional accessories will ultimately cost an additional 3000 pesos.

Here's a short video of an improv skate that I did after I finished my level 1 lessons. I know I look kinda stupid, but here's me after six sessions of figure skating lessons:

Much love to you for your support.

Cheers! 🙂
