A Pair Of Shoes Per Child

Thousands of vulnerable school going children in Kenya, mostly in my Village (Kiboito) in Kericho County, has to miss school because of the chilling weather in the morning and rocky roads. With this, the children get infested with jiggers and end up dropping out of school. Their families cannot afford a descent school shoe of 10 Pounds translating to approximately 1000Kshs. With the rate of HIV in the village, many children have been orphaned and the free primary education offered by government barely caters for their basic educational needs, which force the children to quit school to do weird chores. Without the help from people within, the future of this village is dark and this can be saved by all school going children attending school always. Alcoholism as well has taken toll, which leads to violence within families. Lets get together in making a child go to school.
