US$0.00raised of $50,000.00 goal
Harley’s Hideaway is a neighborhood bar and grill, offering a diverse menu of sinfully tasty foods to fill any appetite, serving Traditional, Keto and Vegan dishes. As a complement to any great meal, we offer an array of entertainment to create an experience few see in KC.
Founded by Hulon Crayton—with a fast food, bar and entertainment background—was raised in a military family and moved around the US. The food influences are derived from those experiences. This menu is a symbol of America’s melting pot of cultural diversity. You will find Southern, Mediterranean, Midwestern, East Coast, and Rocky Mountain dishes; each selected to tantalize the taste buds. With advisory council by serial restaurant entrepreneurs from New Orleans, Panama City Beach and Kansas City, we will maintain that diversity and deliver a truly unique experience.
Why Are We Seeking Funding?
We started this journey November of 2019—prior to the COVID pandemic in the US—having been licensed for food since March of 2020 and food within recent months. Due to restrictions imposed statewide and federally, and time needed to acquire vender contracts, we capped our Pre-Seed funding to cover rent, insurance and other liabilities while awaiting legal changes to occur that would allow indoor dining in Kansas. Now that that has been permitted and everything else is in place, it is time to launch! We see the grass is greener on the other side. Since we have navigated means to increase our future outlook on returns by structuring our entity in a manner that would yield great results, we are ready to move forward and launch this business. At this time, we are seeking additional funding to ensure we can hire adequate number of staff, purchase equipment, food and drink, advertise, cover repairs, purchase a few additional furniture items. Any remainder could be applied to rent.

Your support would mean the world to us, but also the city of Shawnee and the creative arts community of Kansas City! Our streaming services will allow people to be entertained from home as well as on location. Right now many artists and comedians are struggling with work as many venues have shut down in the wake of the crisis. Because we can host from a safe distance, we can continue to provide work to those who need it. So your support not only helps us, but benefits many others in the community at large. Help us bring joy to many around for years to come.
Risks & Challenges
The greatest risk of course is the uncertainty surrounding COVID. At any moment, the state or federal government can impose changes to how people conduct business. At the end of the day, we can navigate around these issues by providing curbside pick-up, delivery, catering, remote entertainment. We have thousands of PPE items, will wear gloves, masks while cooking and serving, have sanitizer throughout the restaurant, and send employees home who may not be well or have been around people who were not feeling well or sick; doing our best to play our part in keeping people safe.
