A new life for Moon the cat – help him fight FIP disease

Hello, my name is Moon and I am a brave little kitty currently fighting for my life.

I was adopted in October (2020) by my mum Beatrice, and we are incredibly happy together... we are a family.

Just a few weeks ago my mum noticed there was something wrong with me. My eyes shifted from a bright yellow colour to a red shaded brown, my pupils changed shape unexpectedly, and shortly after that, I had some neurological episodes and could not walk properly. This made my mom worried about my health and she quickly took me to a doctor.

Last Tuesday the lab results confirmed that I am affected by Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) which is a painful disease caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus that until two years ago was fatal. The doctor said I had one month to live.

But my mum loves me very much and she did not give up on me. She decided to go for the only solution left, a new drug called GS441524 that helped many other cats with FIP around the world.

For the next three months, I will have to be injected every day with this rare and extremely expensive medicine. It is going to be a long and hard journey, but after this mum promised me, I will be all right.

Breakdown of expenses:
