A New Hope and Kidney for Mymy

This is for my sister, Myra C. dela Cruz, 38 years old, who is also known as Mymy to her friends and family and Teacher Myra to her Korean students. She is a loving wife and mother to two wonderful children, a bright young lady and a special little boy with special needs. She was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Failure related to Acute Glomerulonephritis. She did not experience any signs and symptoms until she experienced sudden blindness a few weeks ago, after that, everything happened so fast.

She will need to undergo a kidney transplant as soon as possible. Both of her kidneys are at 10% functioning combined. Her doctor advised her to start getting dialysis to buy her more time while waiting for a donor. Unfortunately, the veins in her arms are not strong enough for Arteriovenous Fistula, her only option for dialysis is either through her neck or stomach, which are more prone to infections and will only be good for 3-6 months. Her dialysis treatments thrice a week and a kidney transplant will cost millions, with the medical bills pilling up and her medicine that costs from 600 to 2,000 pesos a day ($12-40), we humbly ask for you help in this fight to give her hope and a new kidney.

My sister currently stays with me as there are more people who can look after her here and for her husband, Carlo (Carlo's Facebook), to be able to focus on looking after their children, specially their son who goes to therapy every week. This is for her children who are still very young, they need their mother, and her husband to whom she promised to grow old with.
