My mother was diagnosed with Heart Enlargement last October 31, 2019. The doctors found out it wasn't genetic and that the enlargement was due to her High Blood Pressure, they said it was easier to treat as long as she follows all the necessary measures. She was given treatment right away and was monitored every week, with God's grace she felt better and even the doctors told her she was doing good but not until she developed Pneumonia. It was after she was confined to a public hospital when we knew since she's having difficulty breathing, with severe coughing, and unbearable pain in the lower rib. We were told it was most likely to happen since she have an enlarged heart. She was discharged after three days and was given new prescriptions to continue the medication at home, which they also noted that was a much safer place base on her condition than to be in a ward room along with different patients, with different diagnosis, in a public hospital. So as usual, we diligently followed everything the doctor said, taken all the necessary measures. My mother did again felt better but it only lasted for three days, the coughing, the shortness of breath, and the pain in the lower rib started to occur again. So she was given another set of new prescriptions, different lab tests, scans, and almost all sorts of examination to determine a person's health condition. Since it was a public hospital she was handled by different doctors of which led to different options, opinions, and conclusions. My mother complied to these tests, did all our best to be able to submit every lab test and scans the doctors needed. Some of them were free but most were taken in different labs with a much better equipment with better and accurate results as per the doctors in the public hospital's advice. But still all the results were vague and they still cant seem to connect the dots. This went on for a good month still with the same findings, until the latest ct scan result suggested to be brought to an Oncologist, a Cancer Specialist, to confirm if the results were indeed positive for cancer. They went there only to be given another set of lab tests and ct scans. So the family decided to bring my mother to a private hospital where she could be taken care off a lot better. She is currently confined in a ward room and after 3 days of rigid examinations, the results were indeed positive for Cancer. The Oncologist still cannot determine what kind and what stage due to lack of test results but it was confirmed by her other lab findings. Now we are only waiting for her last examination to be performed so she can be discharged from the hospital. We don't want her to, but there is no option left for us. My heart breaks knowing we can no longer let her be under the care of a hospital complete with good facilities and aid that she needs.

We unfortunately don't have a regular income, my mother was the sole breadwinner of the family and since she can no longer work we no longer have any cash inflow right now, and all our finances regarding my mother's medicine is currently being supported by the help of her siblings and her friends. But rest assured even if she gets discharged with the help of God's grace we will certainly do everything we can to fight and stand by her in this battle.

As of now, February 6, 2020, the total bill amounted to 71,452 pesos, much more than what we expected. We have already gathered 9,000 pesos, and we're also currently selling Longganizas for only 150 pesos to also help raise funds, but even though we could sell it all, it still wouldn't be enough.

To see your mother suffer from a situation she never deserved to be at is a weigh her child just cannot bear to endure, and I never have thought I would reach this point where I would create a fundraiser for this cause. I know this is totally not your obligation to help pay for my mother's hospitalization, but we are/ I am knocking on your kindest of hearts, if you can please donate any amount to help pay for my mother's hospital bill we will consider it a really huge help and we will forever be grateful 🙏

UPDATE:

As of February 11, 2020 the whole hospital bill amounted to P121,000 less than the payment for my mother's Biopsy, a test which will fully determine the accuracy of her test results. We also have accumulated P12K through the kindness generosity of some people 💖 which will total the whole funding to P21,000! Thank you all so much for those who donated!! Every penny is greatly appreciated!! May God continue to bless you twice as much! 🙏💗
