A Marines Dream

Hello World, I am a former Marine that has a dream to own his own business. I am trying to buy a small business in the world of Machining. I'm pretty much liquidating as much stuff as I can to make this dream come true. I am slowly running out of ideas of how to get the funding I need to start, hence why now I have turned to this gogetfunding.com.

I currently work for a government agency and well I almost lost my job, due to their mistake and I was demoted to a lower position which was their idea of fixing the problem. I became the consequence of their mistake, which really hit me deep inside after putting in so many hours and dedication. So because of that I decided to make a change in my life and hopefully kick start this dream.

I would love to buy this machine shop from a person that is getting ready to retire soon. His business pretty much has everything that I need to be successful at the beginning. Obviously with a lot of hard work and dedication I will survive the first tough year of having a business.

My plan is to get into business for my self and then pay it forward, I would like to hire vets once I can afford to have an employee or two. Hopefully I grow bigger and I can have more than just a few, but then I would definitely look for those that have a difficult time getting the opportunity they need and help them with their dream. I also plan on helping the local community college and offer them an opportunity to get on the job training while they go to school for machining or manufacturing.

The reason I need the money is because the banks want to make sure I have a down payment of 20% first. I am pretty close but with your help I can make it a reality. Thank you very much for even considering donating to my cause. I know there are a lot of others on here that have bigger injuries or have had tragedies happen than me, but I am hoping to some day be able to pay this forward also. I have done a lot of selfless things in my life and maybe now is the time for me to ask if at all a .0001% back. Maybe this help now will give me the opportunity to give even more back in the future.
