A Little Love for Baby Lucas

I created this fund raising campaign to help my friends, Mariel and Gab raise funds to cover the medical expenses of their little angel, Baby Lucas Gabriel Cajayon.

Baby Lucas was born on October 14, 2020 with "imperforate anus" (walang butas ang pwet) and was also diagnosed with Down syndrome. He needed to undergo surgery called colostomy a day after his birth, wherein, the surgeon creates an opening (stoma) on the abdomen where the intestine is brought out to skin.

In October 17, 2020 his mother Mariel was discharged from the hospital, while Baby Lucas had to stay for 22 days of medication. And this has cost them a big amount of money. This February, Baby Lucas is scheduled to have another surgery called Posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP), a type of pull-through procedure that treats anorectal malformations. After 2 months, another operation will be done to close the stoma. The funds from this campaign will be used for those surgeries.

His parents were both seafarers, but because of the pandemic their primary source of income was greatly affected. Now they are making a living by selling every products possible, but it's just really not enough. So this Love month, we are knocking on your big hearts, let's please give love to this little angel by donating. Any amount is a big help for him and his parents.
