A Little Kindness Goes A Long Way

Over the last 6 years I’ve dedicated myself to help give back to the community as much as I can. I know firsthand what the kindness of a stranger can mean to someone who’s in need. I was 16 years old and homeless, something I never thought could’ve happened to me but thanks to the wonderful people within my community…strangers to me, I was able to go to school with the supplies I needed, new clothing and food to keep me going. Because of them I am here today writing to you to ask you for your help.

At the age of 20 years old I knew I wanted to be the change I wanted to see within the community. I wanted to help and be a positive role model. I wanted to be a blessing to someone in need because of the blessing I received when I was in need.

I started by first annual back to school donation drive in the Summer of 2010 and 6 years later I am more determining and passionate about this cause. With the help of the community and generous people all over the world who’ve seen my donation drive online. Together we’ve raised over 5000 reading books for children of all ages. We’ve had donations from Walt Disney Studios, Mercer Hospital, Marriott Courtyard etc… just to name a few.

I am so grateful and thankful for all those who’ve blessed this cause.

I’m writing to you today because I need your help. My goal is to fill 700+ School bags with supplies for teachers and kids. Help us make this school year a great one for our youths and teachers.

Did you know “nationally, 3.5 million school teachers spend an average of $500+ in out of pocket expenses on classroom supplies for their students”? . . . $500+ that’s just a rough estimate.

How can you help? We’re in need of sponsors. We have 3 different sponsorship packages or a simple donation of any amount will be of great blessing to us to help with getting more backpacks and school supplies.
