A little help through tough times

Hi Everyone

I hope this post finds you all well.

I feel embarrassed to have to ask for help, but I am hoping that I might find the help I need.

Let me tell you how my journey to here began... My parents kicked me out of their house in 2015 because of my orientation, after which my partner took me in (knowing me for just a month!) and we have been together ever since. He also proposed to me in 2018, which was honestly the best day ever!

In late 2016, my partner got retrenched and we had to take out a few loans in order to survive and keep up with rent and living expenses as we could not live on my salary alone. We have been managing to keep head above water, even though its feels like we are drowning some times.

Now we are forced to move out of our current home as the unit we are living in is in a state due to lack of maintenance from the landlord. Smelly drains from improper drain systems, mold, leaking roof, and a heafty rental increase (after all we have had to put up with in this place). We are struggling getting our deposit back and need to be able to pay a new deposit on a new place to stay. Having gone into a hefty amount of debt in order to survive, we are unable to take any more loans in order to move again.

If I reach the target I have set on GoGetFunding, we will be able to pay a deposit on a new flat and cover some of the debt that we have had to incur.

I apologize if it seems that I am lazy and greedy, I promise I am not. But in hard times, all you can do is turn to strangers and hope that some people are willing to help when you are at breaking point and it feels like you are in a hole that you cant crawl out of.
