A little help for our parents’ anniversary surprise

Hi all. I am trying, and hoping, to get the opportunity to be able to gift my parents an anniversary surprise.

A little backstory about my parents first though. They have been childhood sweethearts and the love they have for each other has been something that my wife and I would be proud to emulate. My dad has been working hard to put food on our table ever since graduating from school, and still is til now, with the high cost of living we have here. Not once has he shed a complain, no matter the long hours he has put in. My mum has never failed to give him her unending support and had never asked for anything much, other than to ensure that our family is blessed with shelter and good health.

This coming April 22nd will be their 40th anniversary, and it has been disheartening to know that the last trip they had, was 17 years ago. My brother and I have decided that we wanted to give them something they truly deserve as appreciation for their love and for setting an example of a lasting marriage, a 2 weeks romantic trip to Europe. We have scrimped and saved as best as we can but due to some financial setbacks and the high cost of living, we have only managed to put together a third of what we need. As such, we are hoping to possibly raise the remaining amount and give them an experience to remember.
