A Life for My Daughter Kia

Xylein Kia is an active, smart, and sweet 8 year-old kid. However, she has a congenital heart disease- Atrial Septal Defect. In simple terms, she has a hole in her heart. We found out about her disease only when she was 2 years old due to the Internal Medicine doc hearing "swoosh" sounds after the "lub-dubs" when we had her checked for LBM. This news was unexpected and a shock for us in the family. Since then, everything she does was affected by the fact that she has a heart disease.

Now that she is 8, she is more frequently showing signs that her heart is becoming weak. And this is becoming a fear to us. A fear that she may collapse anytime, maybe in school, maybe in our home, maybe anywhere.

I am posting this to humbly ask from you a simple help for her so she can have her surgery ASD Patch Closure by the end of this year. Help me help her live her life normally again. Help me give her the life she deserves, a life of a child full of talents, full of hopes,- full of dreams. Help me help her chase her dreams! God bless. ❤
