A Hope for A Life- Healing support for Daddy Robert Enriquez

He, Robert Enriquez, is always known to be strong and a fighter. Well, not only, because he is a retired Colonel of Philippine Marines but also because - he is our Daddy. Our Dad is our source of courage. Since we were young, when we need something or anything that make us feel upset or worried, we run to him. He thought us not to give up. Fight until the end!

My Dad is a family man. He thinks of us first before anything else, even before himself. We never feel deprived of anything because he always do his best to give us everything we need. Our Dad loves us so much and will do everything for us. He is also a loving brother to his siblings and a loyal friend.

When I was a child, I remembered my Mom crying because my Dad who was assigned for a military mission in Palawan was not contacting us for a long time. My Mom was so worried. We even bought a ticket to go to Palawan to see if my Dad was okay. On the day of our trip, I opened the house door to ride on the car, I saw Daddy saying "Surprise!". It turned out that he was pranking my mom and that he would like to surprise us with his come back home after a long time being away as a military. How I wish, this time, a difficult time is also a prank. How I wish, he can get up from the bed in ICU and tell us that it's just a prank. We miss you Daddy.

Our Dad was diagnosed to have a severe Liver Cirrhosis that explained his weight loss over the year or 2. There were no other symptoms we knew until his stomach started to get big, pain and filled with water. He was admitted last February 7, 2 am at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute hospital because of his sever stomach pain. Aside from the pain, he was okay. He even told us "Mga anak, ito nagpapalakas ang daddy niyo, Kahit mahirap, kakayanin ko dahil gusto ko pa kayo makasama ng matagal. Salamat mga anak. Salamat" (My children, I am here [hospital] trying to gain back my strength. Even it is hard, I will take it because I still want to live and be with you all for a long time. Thank you, my children. Thank you).

After that day, he started developed other symptoms. It was just so fast. He was sleeping most of the day, he started having blood in his stool and his nose, not having enough urine output, started to feel more pain until such time, I saw his deep fast and struggling breathing. It is too painful for us to see him like this but we will fight with him as what he wanted. YOU ALWAYS FIGHT FOR US DAD, THIS TIME, LET US FIGHT FOR YOU. He is now in ICU with all possible assistive medical devices and treatments, trying to have a miraculous recovery.
