A home of our own

Please help us stay together and find a new home.

Aloha, I’m Rochelle. I need to move out of my current situation. I have been looking to rent something for nearly 5 months with no luck. I have not been able to find a suitable place that I can afford that allows pets. People keep telling me to give my dog and cat away so I can have an easier time. Would you give away your children to rent an apartment?

So now I’m on a mission.

I want to buy my own place. I don’t make a lot of money but it’s a decent wage (I work for a non-profit with autistic toddlers and their families-they all call me Auntie Ro). I’ve seen a few listings for low cost condos that need to be spruced up a bit. I can make the mortgage payments (I might need a 2nd job to pay for the repairs) but I don’t have the down payment. I need to raise $15,000.00 to cover the down payment and get some furnishings (a bed, fridge, washer). I need to move on and find a safe place where Kasey, Popo and I can all stay together as a family.

My dog Kasey is very special. She is a certified therapy dog. We volunteer with special needs children and at our local nursing home. She brings so much joy and peace to everyone she meets. She has a sister cat, Popoki (that’s cat in Hawaiian.)

Any help you feel inspired to give would be a great blessing and much appreciated.
