Steps to better Child Welfare is a charity organisation that supports the Welfare and the betterment of the destitute children in Uganda. We support and help the orphaned and deprived children of Sakabusolo Village and the outskirts. I want to help the children to sustain themselves by way of farming and growing food to feed themselves to the land which was left for me and my family by my husband who was killed during the civil war. I want to carry on my husbands legacy to continue and supprt these children the way he would have wanted. Because of the my limited income, there is no way i can do this without any support from kind donors In this area, almost 3 hours outside of the capital City Kampala, there is very limited, if any, access to medical services, education, employment and other welfare facilities including clean water. In this HIV/AIDS and malaria has affected and is killing so many children.
The family and Trustees of SBCW have a vision to ensure that all the children have access to atleast basic health, education and welfare needs to enable them to live better lives within their community. The charity hopes to achieve this vision by continuing to ask charities and volunteers from within Africa and abroad to visit, provide us with advice, support etc. I would like to raise funds in order to finish the accommodation that will contain atleast 12 rooms that will sleep 6-8 kids per room. The construction is already in progress started over 8 years ago however limited funds have made this project a struggle and we have been unable to complete the building. I would like the children to have access to clean water, as well as providing them with some sleeping facilities.
We have been able to provide the children with land to grow food and a place where they feel they can belong and call home, but they also need, to be fed, clothed, medically treated and sent to school.
Any donations are welcome
