A home for Roberto

This campaign is for a little Colombian boy called Roberto. His mother is a single-parent and she struggles every day to keep a roof over his head and to put food on the table. She is a hard-working woman and dotes on her little boy but work is very scarce in the area where she lives and very often, when she has paid the rent, there is very little left over for food, clothing, etc. She receives no benefits and every day is a struggle for her to keep Roberto safe and well.

There are many gangs operating in the area of Colombia where she lives and I am truly worried that, without help, they will become embroiled in a life of drugs, crime and prostitution purely through desperation.

Under a government scheme, she has managed to acquire a plot of land and is currently trying to make enough money to build a rudimentary house where they can live rent-free, enabling her to spend anything she can earn on food.

Every single penny I can raise here will be forwarded directly to Roberto's mother and will make an unbelievable difference to their lives. Please give what you can comfortably afford. Every little will help.
