A home for Karen & kids before Christmas

In the spirit of Christmas giving, and to help a needy family who don't have any money for Christmas, let alone a place to live, I'm trying to help my daughter's friend's mother with her first and last month's rent before Christmas.  Karen is a single mom raising two kids at home.  One is in high school while the other is in middle school.  Karen was laid-off last year when her company was bought out by a large corporation and has been struggling ever since.  Her unemployment ran out last September and she has been getting some temp jobs occasionally, but not enough to keep her finances steady.  All three live in a 2 bedroom basement appartment but recently, as Karen has a big heart, she invited her friend to move in, as her friend was struggling herself after a breakup and a loss of her job.  Unfortunately Karen had not consulted with her landlord before letting her friend move in to help her get back on her feet and to possibly, hopefully help with rent eventually and was advised that they are being evicted at the end of the month.  So, now, not only does she not have a steady job, but she has no money for first and last month's rent, let alone Christmas.  She is desperately seeking a place to live and trying desperately to find money to help her pay for a new place to live.  If there is any way you can find it in your heart to donate anything to help them out, I'm sure she would be eternally greatful.  Anything from $1.00 to $5.00 or more would be really appreciated.
