Hello! It's time for this baby-boomer to move from renting an apartment to purchasing a home of my own in a safe neighborhood, where I can live for the rest of my life.  I'll be retiring in the next 7 years and hope to be near my family and lifelong friends.  The apartment I've rented for many years has been vandalized.  Crime is increasing in our neighborhood very intensely and rapidly.  The home I've selected is a small one, easy to maintain and heat/cool, with an attached garage for added safety.  I've never in my life had a brand new kitchen, but this house has brand new everything inside!  It's a very reasonable price.  My mortgage, homeowner's insurance, taxes, and mortgage insurance will be 25% less than what I'm currently paying in rent! I qualify for a gov't grant that will cover the downpayment of the home I wish to purchase.  What a blessing!  The requirement by the gov't from me, the buyer, is $1300 to cover the lender's fee and the first few months of insurance and taxes on the house.  The $1300 cannot be a loan.  It has to be a gift that is not expected to be repayed.  My family members don't have the money to help me.  I'm hoping to receive a total of $2000 from generous people on GoGetFunding to cover not only the $1300 requirement, but also the cost of a moving company.  I have a lot of furniture and a piano to move.  I'm grateful for any amount of help in my desire to purchase my own home in the next month.  Thank you in advance for your generosity! Jan
