A helping hand for Mommy Delia in fighting COVID19

My mom, Delia Lucila, 72 yrs old, widow is battling with COVID 19 right now. Our means of living is buy and sell only. Just enough for our daily needs.

‪August 15 - My Mom started having an on and off fever, so we reported and ask our barangay for help. We brought her to Calamba Medical Center (CMC) but they said they are fully occupied. So we don't have a choice but to bring her back home. Then we started to call all government hospitals but all of them are already full and they just put my mom on the waiting list. Private hospitals nearby doesn't want to accept suspected COVID patient because their capacity is already full and there is no vacant room in their ICU as well.

August 29 - My Mom cannot even stand and having difficulty in breathing. We tried again to search for government hospitals with vacancy but no luck, even on the private hospitals nearby. Finally someone advised us that St. Luke's Medical Center accepts suspected COVID patient. So, we had no choice but to rush her to the ER of St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City. She was a suspected COVID patient then and the attending physician told me that she needs to be confined in ICU for COVID patients.

August 30 - We got the test result and it was confirmed that my mom is COVID-19 positive. They told me to go back home.

The following day Mom oxygen level and BP gets low and her doctor informed us she needs to be intubated.

My whole family was quarantined at home and we don't receive any update from the hospital on the next day.

We only hold on to God that He control everything and heal my mom. Hoping that everything will go well with my family.

I believe God is in control and He has plans.

September 17 - My mom is still in the ICU, intubated and still being supported by ventilator.

The hospital have already informed us of the running hospital bill which already reached millions already. They are already asking for 50% payment for the bill but we cannot afford to pay it given our combined resources.

We humbly ask and seek your generous heart to help us in these difficult times. Our combined resources as a family are not enough to finance the treatment of my mom Delia. Any amount will go a long way to save her life.
