A HELP FOR MY DAD : SPINE SURGERY

Hi all. Asking for your help as I badly want to save my King. 👑😊

It all started last December 2019.

My dad, Claro Atienza Mercado (64) has been diagnosed with severe spinal compression - lower back. During the initial check ups and test results (X-RAY, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), etc), we are advised that it was just a mild fracture and that back brace, nerve medications and PT sessions can help make things get better and can help my dad recover from pain. Everything went well from the start, but not after the 2nd PT session.

His lower body became anesthetic and can't even poop or pee. Due to this, they conducted another examination: MRI, X-Ray and blood chem. This time, we knew that this is not just a simple fracture and something worse is about to begin. Yes, they're right that during the first check ups, it was just a mild fracture, but we don't have any idea that things are getting worse without us knowing. Since January 9th, he is admitted in Philippine Orthopedic Center, Quezon Avenue, one of the charity hospitals in the Philippines.

Test results came and diagnosis were finalized.

As per the doctors, this is more likely tumor wherein parts that are affected should be cut off and be implanted to avoid spreading of the viruses, and my Dad needs to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

SURGERY SCHEDULE: January 27, 2020.

But due to financial problems, we did not made it last January 27th. My Dad is still waiting to be operated. Hospital bills, doctor's fee and others are no longer an issue as this is a charity hospital and my dad is a senior citizen. What we badly need is the one that should be implanted that cost PHP 280, 000.

He do have a health card but this expense is not covered. As an only child and a breadwinner, I admit that I can't supply this huge amount as far as I want to. PCSO, senators, congressmen, DSWD doesn't have funds as of the moment. I am willing to wait but I am willing to do everything as well while waiting. The earlier, the better.

The fact that my dad has an urgent case, our hearts can't stop worrying but we still look on the brighter side. Nothing is impossible as long as we believe and we have faith in God. 🙏

My dad did everything for me and I am more than willing to do everything for him. ❤️🙏
