Hazel Dizon Espinosa,"Dai Bhevie" as fondly called by almost everyone is a vibrant personality. Smart, caring and helpful that she is, she has always been a source of positivity and fun by friends and family. Her outgoing nature and friendliness makes her very likeable. Dai Bhevie is a 34-year old, hardworking mother of a pretty and smart 12-year old daughter. At a young age, she raised her daughter by herself after a failed past relationship. Despite this, she never lost her positive attitude. She struggled to make both ends meet for her family, but her fun-filled self never wearied. She has always made herself available for everyone, she never gets tired nor exhausted and always finds joy when lending a helping hand until..

4 yrs ago, she was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease secondary to mitral valve stenosis. A condition where her mitral valve does not fully open and thus, restricts flow of blood which carries oxygen. Having been healthy all her life, She continued her day to day activities but with a much healthier lifestyle and being compliant to maintenance medicines prescribed by her cardiologist. Although restricted, she never allowed her condition to get into her, hoping that she could just deal with it without undergoing surgery.

3 months ago, just before Christmas, she started to feel sick, she experienced gastrointestinal disorder and was hospitalized. She throw up everytime she eat and can never sleep lying down and even sideways, not even with the help of multiple pillows. She can only sleep in a sitting position for a max of 3hrs. She has been discharged after her condition improved, but she never fully recovered. She has been in and out of the hospital since but all the tests like endoscopy and full abdomen ultrasound turned out to be negative.

Her cardiologist advised that she is already experiencing manifestations of early signs of heart failure. Wheezing cough at night, edema in her ankles and feet, recurring gastro discomfort, difficulty sleeping and bloated stomach. She was advised that the only option is to undergo valve replacement before its too late.

They are being asked to prepare 1 million pesos including pre-operation tests and procedures and post surgery care. Although both she and her husband are working, they can never come up with that amount, especially of the time constraint and not to mention that they do not earn much. Their only source of income is their salary and due to her hospitalization, they have been both on leave of absence since which drained out all of their resources.

Her daughter is only 12 yrs old and these past 3 months has been a struggle for her, all her life her mom was there to take care of her. I can see how much she is trying to be independent not to make her mom worry, but I can see that she's barely making it and she still needs a mother. I can't imagine how her life would be if my sister's condition worsen or worst, if she won't be there anymore.

I know that there are a lot of people who also needed help and my sister's condition may be less worse than theirs, but I am pleading for your help, for my sister's life. We am humbly knocking on your kind hearts to help us finance my sister's surgery. If not for her, atleast for her daughter who still needs a mother.

Please help me share this message. And aside from financial assistance, I also need your prayers for strength, successful surgery and my sister's fast recovery.

To those who know my sister and my family personally, please coordinate with me for additional details. Thank you in advance.
