A healing touch at India

Each child is special and born with purpose. That is what I firmly believe since young, considering that each and every one of us was chosen to be born in this world. For my birthday in late January 2019, I would like to embark on a healing journey across the globe, starting with one of our global neighbours' countries named India.

Over a span of 3 months, I will be sharing my time, strengths and knowledge (eg.; language) to reach out beyond the borders of my country to our global neighbours there who live in rural villages and slums.

They have lived their lives in a dilapidated condition that is unimaginable. The kids having to grow up in such condition and with little access to education or exposure to the world beyond their homes, I hope, by volunteering there, I will be able to send across a message of hope for a bright future to them. Education is key to a colourful future while knowledge and exposure to other cultures' and way of life will pave a path to a more understanding and compassionate generation.

Moreover, I will be visiting rural villages to volunteer my service and experiencing their way of life.

My visions for this journey are growth. A growth of experience, insight and compassion within me to a better self alongside growth of care and connection with our global neighbours beyond my country's borders.

This journey, I won't be able to do it without your support and kindness. Your contributions will be directed to fund for programme fees, flights fees, visa, vaccinations and accommodations (though I will be funding some of it through savings so as to have more of the fund balance contribute back to the community there to help improve their living conditions). :)

No small acts of kindness is deemed small. A small kind act can be a lifevest to a person's life. My heartfelt thanks in advance to you.

My parents often say to me since I was young to always give while you still can and to not count what you have given. They are one of those figures in my life who instill firm belief in me of the existence of kindness in people.

This journey that I have chosen is also one of the ways I could say my gratitude to them for giving birth to me and raising me up tirelessly.

I hope, as well, to be able to tell each child I've met along the way in my journey later that they are truly special and will bloom beautifully at their own designated pace.
