Hi all,

Thank you for stopping by in my family's fundraiser.

We are a family of three. Me, my husband and our 6-month old son named Hiro. My husband and I are both working part-time as transcribers. Part-time since I have to take care of our son and I have this terrible low back pain since I was pregnant and I can't sit for long periods of time. My husband has ear infection so he cannot work that much and has to help me in the house. The project is named as such because we've been dreaming to build a warmer and more comfortable house for our son. But our little income is just enough to fill our daily needs.

Our house is as small as two small bedrooms combined. It is made from patched, used plywood for the walls and galvanized metal roofing for our roof and walls in the kitchen. During noon, it is too hot because the roofing is so low. In the early morning, it is too cold because the walls are so thin. In the picture, you can see the window to our sleeping room. There are some holes so cold air comes in during the night. But I try to keep it warm inside by hanging a blanket over the window. You can see the flooring of our house is part-covered with the playmat so as to keep it a little bit warmer. This is also where we sleep at night. Because of this, my son would usually catch cold and cough. During rainy season, water comes in and the house gets flooded. When I was pregnant, we managed to get by but now with our son, I don't know.  Also, because of the old plywood, insects come in to the house so no matter how I clean, they're just always coming in.

Help us build a safer, warmer and more comfortable house for our son even if it's small. This is really our dream.

By now, you may have seen the video of our little boy laughing. It should be a video of me describing the fundraiser right? However, I thought why not just this video? With this, I hope, my son will make you happy.

Thank you very much! Smile
