A future for Nickholis

A quick visit to the General Practioner with an ear infection turned into a nightmare of 8 years looking for help and awnsers. Over these 8 years Nickholis has visited 18 specialists, undergoing every possible blood test, 2 CT scans, 1 MRI scan. A variety of medication was tested, and every possible therapy was put to the test. Unfortunately with no awnsers or long term help.

Specialist number 18 made the Autism diagnosis. But his parents couldn't accept the fact that he has no future ahead of him. Not knowing how they are going to pay for the help, they kept on searching for help. And eventually found out about the Family Hope Center in Philadelphia.

After seeing the Family Hope Center specialists, the final diagnosis was made. Nickholis has severe limbic cortex brain stem injury. At the age of 8, he has only 31.1% brain function.

Nickholis is currently on the Family Hope Center program. And is progessing very well.

He is on a very strict diet. And is using 9 different types of medication at the moment. A variety of therapy material is needed, since therapy is done at home. Nickholis is also in need of a Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber.

He has to see the Family Hope Center specialists once a year. A specialist appointment in the region of $5600. There is also travel and accommodation expenses, since the Family Hope Center sees his patients in a different province then where they live.

Nickholis is completely dependant on his parents for every day tasks. With your help his parents can put him on the road of healing, so he can one day live independently, and have a future....
