One meal a day… Please

Venezuela is a country located in South America… Beautiful, with incredible natural resources… Unfortunately, the rampant corruption at all levels, public, as well as, private has turned that beautiful place with its beautiful people into a massive poverty and misery scenario, where the vast majority have absolutely nothing… they have been stripped out of even their last bit of dignity…. Prices there are similar to those in the USA… but minimum wage is less than $1 (yes, less than ONE dolar) per MONTH!!.... This means that one month's salary is barely enough to purchase 1 kg of rice and nothing else per month!! As unfathomable as that might seem… It is the crude reality for many in Venezuela.

People earning minimum wage (under $1/month) go to work hoping that one day things would change, therefore, they keep their jobs and continue on.

The goal of our fundraising is to be able to collect ongoing donations to help feed the many families of a fishing village living under the conditions just described, as it is our belief that food and water should always be available to all, no matter how small their salaries.

The people in our targeted fishing village near the capital Caracas do not need to be taught how to fish… They know how to do that, but unfortunately, gangsters and mafias control the fishing in the area and the fish price is absurdly high for the locals to buy it.

There are many Foundations, Organizations and Funding campaigns out there, but the needs are so numerous that not everybody can be helped, this is why we decided to start this Fundraising via GoGetFunding, to directly benefit the families in need in that particular village. No special activities, no festivals, no particular events, just a continuous buying of food and distributing it to those who need it.

We are reaching out to all of you who have their heart in the right place… Please help with a minimum of $5 a month. (We also accept one-time-only donations), but, if you can spare $10, $20 or more a month, that would be awesome!
