Tibet is burning!

Because of China´s oppression of the Tibetan people and the systematic destruction of their culture 126 Tibetans have self-immolated since 2009. We want to explore why this has happened and how it is possible for often young and healthy, sometimes even parents of young children, to make a political protest in such a horrific way. We will do this exploration by filming a documentary with interviews, existing material and footage shot on location. This will happen in three filming sessions plus postproduction between May 2014 and April 2015.
First we want to raise money to go to Dharamsala in India to prepare for the actual filmings later. We need to talk to the right people, get interview objects to approve the filming of them and to gather more information for the film.
The makers of the documentary are:
Ada Blomqvist, a young yoga teacher who has lived in Tibetan communities in India and Nepal and gotten to know the unique Tibetan culture and seen the ongoing destruction of it. This has moved her and changed her life completely.
Arn-Henrik Blomqvist, a professional film and theatre director with over 90 productions behind him. He has filmed and directed various ethnic documentaries throughout his professional life.
