Hi! I am a beatbox performer from the Philippines. I started beatboxing since 2011.

How I learned beatboxing:

I discovered beatboxing through a friend of mine. I was very intrigued and amazed by his skill so I wanted to learn how to do it too. My friend taught me the basics of beatboxing, and then I went to watching video tutorials from there. It was very hard to learn through videos and it's hard explaining on how beats are produced through mouth too. I didn't have any laptop then, so I went to computer cafes to practice. It was embarrassing too, because there were many people and I had to do these weird noises, and the computer screen would be filled by my saliva. I didnt have a choice since I can't watch vids through my phone too (because my phone was a basic phone). So I kept practicing like that at the cafe. Beatboxing was actually kinda addictive. I remember beatboxing before sleeping, when I shower, before and after eating, even when walking. I randomly beatbox anywhere to practice! My friends admired my beatbox, but you can't avoid haters. People also hated my beatbox, telling me that it sucked, that I'm not good enough, and that I just sound like a complete lunatic. But ofcourse it didn't stop me from improving my skills and talents.

How beatboxing changed my life:

It was after 2 years of practicing that people started to ask me to perform for their events. I started to beatbox at school programs, restaurants and even birthday parties! I was happy then, because my skill in beatboxing was starting to gain appreciation. But it was just last year (2015) that I had the most unexpected thing in my life! I was invited to join an international TV contest at ABS-CBN's "It's Showtime" (Sample Queen). They were looking for talented female individuals, and I was recommended by my friend who is also a well known beatboxer in the philippines. I did really well and even got through to the Grand Finals. I got 3rd place then. It was really a drwam come true to perform live on national television! I thought that that was the end for my dream performance, but I was wrong... I was invited again to join Pilipinas Got Talent season 5 last January (2016)! I did my best and I got 4 yeses from the judges! I got through to auditions but sadly I didnt get through to semi finals. It was really a wonderful journey! Truely a dream come true for a performer like me. :) I met so many new friends, supporters and met some of my idols on TV! I was truely blessed.

Now, in return of all the blessings that God had given me, I'm now sharing my skills/talents to the people. :) It's the least I could do. I have a youtube channel where I post all my videos to help people like me learn beatboxing and gain inspiration to mold and share their talents! And to never give up of their dreams!

Just recently, my camera needs its lens replaced. It's the one that I use to make my videos. It was also sponsored by a friend. I hope that you could help me and be a part of my journey in my passion for sharing my talents!
