Hi everyone,
I am so embarrassed to be asking for help but I desperately need it.
Some of you might know that I'm a single dad of 2, and I'm currently on a legal custody battle to get my son back. My daughter is 6, and my son is 2. I have been a single dad since my son was barely 5 months old since their mum left and decided she wants nothing to do with them. Now fast forward, Social services have came to my attention that since my son is still a toddler he should be on his mum's custody. They took him away and now he is currently under the social service care until the custody case has been settled and they court could decide who gets to keep my son. My son Dean, he has skin asthma (eczema) that flares up really bad if not taken care of that well. Which worries me the most. His sister has been asking every single day about when are we getting Dean back and I have no clear answers yet.
My kids are in overseas (Philippines) as I have met their mum over there. But they don't live with their mum since she left over 2 years ago. I had help from some family members to help me take care of them while I'm away working. Due to them being on a different country, even though I wanted to moved them here with me I couldn't because it's stated (on their law) over there that the mother has the full rights to her kids. Although she had abandoned them and had not made any efforts to see them over the years. And at some point she has also mistreated our son when he was barely a month old ( I have videos of her acts through the cameras I've installed all around our house). and yes, it'll also be used as one of my defends/evidences on why she shouldn't have our kids custody.
Unfortunately their law/system is a failure for dad's like me because according to their law
(Article 176 of the Philippine Family Code, a child is considered illegitimate if the child is born out of wedlock, and in such cases, the parental authority and custody of the child fall on the mother. At the same time, parental authority covers the right and duty of a parent to bring up the minor (below 18 years old), and cannot be renounced or transferred except in cases as allowed by the law under Article 210 of the Family Code.)
I have already talked to several lawyers regarding this case. and have supplied all the requirements needed for me to win this case. I am just humbly asking for everyone's help to get me through this case. I just badly need help to raise funds so I could be able to afford paying my lawyers. Due to covid, I am not able to get back on my job overseas hence why I have been stuck in Australia for over a year now and the only job I have now is being a Personal Trainer. I have not been earning much due to fewer people are interested in it atm due to health protocols.
Hope you can help a struggling father.
All donations will directly be sent to one of my family members who would pay it upfront to my lawyers in my behalf.
